I ADDED TEXT TO A DOCUMENT THEN HIGHLIGHTED NOW THE TEXT IS GONE ?

Can you give more details as to where you are working and what tools you are using, this could be a few different Adobe products.  Are you working in the https://cloud.acrobat.com website?  If so what did you use to "add text"?  Are you using Adobe Acrobat or Reader?  The more detail you can give so we know the tools and workflow the better we can understand, screen shots can be very helpful.
