    Hello Patriciad,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are not able to edit a PDF file with Adobe Reader, Is that correct?

With the free desktop version of Adobe Reader, you cannot edit any PDF file, you can view, print, annotate a PDF file with Adobe Reader, but cannot edit them.

To edit a PDF file, you need Acrobat, and I have checked the records and you are subscribed to Acrobat Pro DC subscription on your current Adobe ID, and with it, you can easing edit a PDF file.

Please remove Adobe Reader DC from the computer(recommended) using Acrobat cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs Reboot the machine, and install Acrobat Pro DC from Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, 2017, XI, or X

Sign-in with your current Adobe ID and password to activate Acrobat Pro DC on your machine and you can edit the PDF file.

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.
