I am unable to convert a PDF file

I am unable to convert a PDF file to .doc or .docx format, it shows conversion error.

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    As you have confirmed that the error message comes up with when using Adobe Reader DC desktop application. Did you also check via web browser? https://cloud.acrobat.com/ 

    For Adobe Reader DC, if you have any antivirus software enabled then you may turn it off for a while and check again.

    [Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install or activate other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done.]

    If this happens with multiple files, then you may send a sample file to us. We would test the same at our end.

    I am trying to convert an eml format to an pdf format. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro and it is still telling me to subcribe to Adobe Acrobat Pro again. Even when I try to do the free trial even though I can not, It tells me I can not because I have Adobe Acrobat Pro. I do not know what is going.

    Please use the Acrobat Online account to create a PDF format. Open the following link: https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/ and sign in using your Adobe credentials. Then go to Documents > Convert.

    Check if you can create PDF.

     

    Are you still experiencing the issue with the desktop application? If yes, please share the screenshot of the error message you receive.

    Did you try reinstalling the application? If not, remove the application from the machine and run the cleaner tool (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html).

    Reboot the machine and reinstall Acrobat from the following page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html.

    Hi Akancha

    I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

    I have downloaded a file and saved to a folder.

    Opened the file using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC then select convert and convert to Doc.

    The error shows "Conversion Failure, file.doc failed to be uploaded. Something went wrong when uploading the file."

    I tried to convert the file using other format and error shows the same.

    Hi Jules,

    Could you please share the exact error that you receive during conversion?

    I assume you are doing the conversion online via https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf ? If yes, then you may try the following steps-

    1- Check with a different file and see if it gives the same error?

    2- Change the web browser and turn the security software off (if any) for a while to see whether its a network related issue or something else.

    3- If you do not have the Adobe Reader DC desktop application installed then you may install it through-  Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions  and check with it.
