i cannot open a file

trying to download a jpg instant download and i keep getting a message that the file cannot be opened as it may be damaged or something like that.  cannot find any way to open this file on my computer.  please help.

    Can you just download the file again? Sometimes images just get corrupted when downloading. It's rare, but it happens. When you do download it again, make sure it has completed downloading before you open it; occasionally that's also an issue if there's a hiccup, and the download isn't complete.
