Sara, Hi.
This is the steps I have done: I opened Export from PDF. I “chose a file from my computer”. It is in window “selected filed to export”. I clicked “export to word”. My file is now in “selected files” window. I clicked “send” and nothing happens. If I get back to select files, I have three of them (all the same) listed and I cannot get rid of them.
I think first I should explain, when my son shows me how to do something, I write it down, step by step. Once I do it a few times, then I can remember all the steps. Second, I spent two hours this morning trying to find a tutorial. I always ended up at a list of Adobe products, and no where did I find “Adobe ExportPDF”
Is there a step by step help somewhere, or can you give me a step by step sequence of events. From your last reply, I cannot get it to open in a word file, the select all etc. did not show. Thanks, Gary
Thanks, Gary!
I appreciate your comments! Let's start with the basics: Getting Started with ExportPDF
And here's a more complete step-by-step (some of this you already know, but I'm going to give the full play-by-play!):
- Log on to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf.
- Click Select PDF Files to Export.
- Click Choose Files from My Computer.
- Select one or more files and click Choose (you can select multiple files by pressing the Shift or Ctrl key as you click the files).
- From the Convert To: pop-up menu, select the output format that you want (in your case, Microsoft Word).
- Leave the Document Language pop-up menu set to English (unless the PDF is in a foreign language).
- Click Export to Word. (This button name will vary depending on what format you choose in step 5.)
- Once the file is converted, it will appear at the bottom of the window, listed under Exported Files.
- Hover your mouse over the thumbnail image of the file, and click the icon that appears on the left side of the thumbnail to download the file to your Downloads folder. (You can also click the Files tab at the top of the window to see a complete list of all converted files.)
- Once you've downloaded the file, you can open it up in Word to edit it.
I hope this helps! If not, you know where to find me!
Best,
Sara
