Question

I converted my resume from PDF to word, now how do I edit the spacing as I add information?

This is not functioning like a word file.  I upgraded because I needed to add a couple dates to my resume, as well as one job, but when I did the formatting and margins are funky and I cannot add portions to the document.  What do I do?

    Hi beth.elizabeth,

So, in looking at your account, I see that you have an ExportPDF subscription. Did you do your conversion from the ExportPDF website, or from within Reader? And, how was the original PDF created (from a file, scanned?). The quality of your conversion is directly related to the quality of the original file.

That said, for starters, try triple-clicking in the Word file. Are you able to select the text? If not, it could be that the PDF was image-only, and was converted as an image. By default, ExportPDF should convert image text to selectable text, but you can disable that option in Reader.

If you'd like, you can message me directly, and I'd be happy to look at your file.

    Best,

    Sara
