I could once do SNAPSHOT tool to copy and then paste into a Word Perfect document. What is changed

FOR YEARS I have been able to clip and stick either words or a graphic via high lighting then copy and then stick into a word perfect document.  I recently had to fix a computer and bought a later Adobe Pro and suddenly-an empty box is all I get in that paste.

I had USED the tool for YEARS what did Adobe do to botch this up?
