Question

I demand you remove the malware you installed with Adobe Acrobat

KNCTR won't let me delete it and there's no reason why I should have to pay to have it removed.

I can see why you've made it almost impossible to email for help.

That's why, until now, I've just exposed you online everywhere I could.

Hi janb123456,

I'm sorry that you're dealing with malware on your computer. That is never fun. Where did you install Acrobat (or Adobe Reader) from? To ensure that you get a clean version of the software, it's important that you download directly from Adobe.com, rather than a third-party website.

Best,

Sara

I downloaded it from your website.

There was a lot more garbage, and I was able to delete it all from my

computer, as far as I know, except for KNCTR.

Every time I try, a popup says that it can't be deleted because it's

running, but it never is = it comes up every time I turn on the computer

and I hit 'x' immediately, as I did before trying to delete it.

Hi. Has your problem been solved? I also encountered this unwanted software somehow several days ago. But I successfully got rid of it by following the 1st step in this post.

Usually, the software launches automatically when Windows starts and you may not realize that it is running in the background. Have a look at the Windows System Tray in the bottom right corner of your screen and see if KNCTR icon is there.

system-tray-icon

If it is there, right click on it and select Shutdown. Sometimes you need to click on the triangle icon to show icons of programs which are running in the background.

show-hidden-icons

Find the icon of the unwanted program and shut it down. If the Load on Startup item is checked, unselect it.

shutdown

After you shut it down, go to Programs and Features and uninstall it from the Windows. The "it's still running" pop-up from Windows won't show up again. Hope this help others who have the same problem.
