I have installed Acrobat XI Pro but it will not open. What am I doing wrong?

I have installed Acrobat XI Pro but when I try to open the program or a PDF and enter my serial number to validate, I am told the serial number is valid but no program that matches the number is installed on my computer.

I'm wondering if there is a glitch or something. I just purchased it and it won't install past 80%

Hi Jenelle,

I think your issue may be something different from what Ben is experiencing. Did you get Acrobat as part of Creative Cloud, or did you buy a stand-alone Acrobat subscription? Please see Acrobat XI Subscription | Download and install for information about installing Acrobat.

Please try installing again, and make sure that you're logged in as an admin and disable any antivirus software before you start the installer.

It sounds as though you may have upgraded from a previous version of Acrobat. Is that the case?
