I have installed and re-installed, but keep getting "Adobe Acrobat DC has encountered an unknown error"?

I have installed, re-installed, and tried almost everything, but every time I open a .pdf document to edit, I get the message "Adobe Acrobat DC has encountered an unknown error."

Very frustrated.

    Hi 71kristenator ,

    Please let us know the exact version of Acrobat and the OS version you have ?

    If you have windows OS , please try running this cleaner tool : Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

    Restart the system.

    Install Acrobat DC(Paid version) from this link : Download and install Acrobat DC subscription
