I understand your frustration.

You might want to first convert PDF to word and then send it (correct me if I am wrong here).

Please sign up at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf" using your Adobe ID credentials and then choose the file that you want to convert.

Considering 'conversion failure' error, I would also suggest you to please refer the KB doc link as given below:
