I need help combining PDFs

I am hoping someone can help me. I'm assisting a professor with research. I'm finding articles on newspapers.com and clipping them, or savings them as PDFs. Some of these start one one page and then "jump" to another. What she needs is this: She'd like a download of the actual clippings and additionally, combine the PDFs into one article.

Also is it possible to select the entire text transcription and copy/paste into a text file, and send that to her? Doing both allows her to make an html version of the article and provide a pdf of the real thing for download.

I’m sorry if these are very elementary questions but I don’t work with Acrobat very much at all. Thank you!
