I never received an Adobe Acrobat Pro serial number

I can't read any pdf files even though I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro specifically to get a serial number which I never received, in order to read pdf files.  EVERY time I click on a pdf a notice pops-up telling me to enter my serial number.  How do I get my serial number?

    Did you buy a subscription? If so, there is no serial number. Just make sure you are signed in to Acrobat with the same Adobe ID as you used to buy the subscription.
