I want to only select the text in my converted pdf document

I want to only select the text in my document - I am trying to make information from powerpoint slides into notes. That is the only reason I purchased this program and am finding it more difficult to do so having converted the files than beforehand. Please could you help me with this problem, otherwise I would like to discuss refunding my plan as it is not delivering on its claim. With many thanks.

    "this program" being what?

    From what kind of document are you trying to extract text?  Not quite sure what you are trying to do, or how?

    Thank you for replying.

    I just bought the pdf --> word converter for 19 GBP.

    I am trying to convert a pdf powerpoint into purely text. At the moment when i convert the powerpoint, the text remains in the boxes and when you copy the text from there, it keeps lots of weird formatting.

    I would like to just have the text so I can make the content of the powerpoint into a set of notes.
