Question

Is Create pdf broken? I have been using it for a couple of years and today for the first time I am getting the following email and no pdf conversion,

Adobe PDF Pack could not successfully convert your file Presentation 2014-09-23 to Adobe PDF. The conversion of your uploaded file timed out.

You can try to convert the file to Adobe PDF via Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer from virtually any application.

CreatePDF is useless becuase I am using a Mac.

    Hi Ian,

    The Adobe PDF Pack online service is up and running (the email messages alerting you to conversion failure are new, though). You're right; the CreatePDF Desktop Printer is not available on Mac OS, so that message should be updated to reflect that.

    If you're receive the "timeout" message, you might want to try conversion again with OCR disabled as outlined in this document:  How to disable Optical Character Recognition (O... | Adobe Community.  Disabling OCR can simplify the conversion somewhat, so you may be able to convert successfully before the service times out.
