Is There A Way to Do Cross-Reference in Adobe Acrobat?

Link one pdf document to another, link one page or link a particular word or phrase on a particular page to another page or to another word or phrase on another particular page within the same file.

I do Genealogy/Family History Research, when I look at a record saved as a pdf file, on one page there is particular information on it that I want to link to another part or page within the same file. Sometimes I have different records saved as a pdf, one record could be military another record could be school and both are open, but I want to link information in the military with information in the school record.

Is there a way to do cross-reference in Adobe Acrobat?
