Legal document with sticky notes, need notes to remain after redactions of text

I'm working an a deposition from a Judge, with several hundred sticky notes indicating text that needs to be redacted.  The problem is when the Judge redacts the text from the doc, the stick notes also disappear. It seems that when I drag the Sticky  Note off the text a bit, then hightlight and reddact, they stick notes remain, but on a document with about 250 sticky notes it's not practical to adjust all their locations and on some pages there are many dozens.  Is there a way to set the Stick NOtes on the document to remain after applying text redactions?

As mentioned, this works as intended, but there is a workaround. Export the comments to an external data file before starting to redact, then redact everything (including the comments!), and when done, import the comments data back to the file, and you'll get the sticky notes in their original locations, with their original texts, etc.

An attorney marks up the document with sticky notes, which the Judge uses as guides to text which needs to be redacted - he wants the original sticky notes to remain.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for reaching out.

As mentioned above, the sticky notes were added to indicate the text that needs to be redacted. When you redact the text, the sticky note also gets removed. This is an as-designed behavior, as when you remove the text, it redacts the area.

Sorry, there is no way to keep the sticky note intact after you redact the text. The only way to move the sticky note from that area.
