Lost all the notes and highlights

Hello,

I just opened my ebook to study and I find all the highlights and notes from yesterday missing ! That's around 150 pages worth of data and 20hrs of non-stop studying ..I'am using Adobe Reader app on Kindle Fire . can someone please help,  I have an exam in two days
