Nov 15 update- now I can't rename or delete files

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. After the update last week I haven't been able to edit file names or delete duplicate files. The "menu" at the top of the screen only offers the "settings"- not the "Android compliant action bar" with save, move, rename, etc, as it is described in the what's new section of the app. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing. Please advise.
