I scanned pics on a printer and saved to a  flash drive. A friend passed away and I wanted to crop and make a memorial movie. I can open the file in PDF but it will not allow me to open in any other format. How can I change that?? I don't even mind cropping under paint and then saving it in that format

If you have Acrobat, you can extract the image from the PDF.

If you don't have Acrobat, you can convert the PDF to an image format (JPG, PNG, ...) using any free converters found on the Internet (Google), then use your imaging application to crop, etc.

But since you scanned the original pics yourself, why not directly safe them in image format instead of a PDF?
