Opening a PDF file error message how do I fix?

When opening a PDF file it will open the file but then I get a pop up window saying: Application error The instruction at 0x0396525c referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to close the program. Had this issue for about the last 4-5 days haven't changed anything on my computer. I did un-install and re-install Acrobat but didn't help.
