I forgot my password to be able to sign my PDF documents. Can I stop the password protection on there? Can I change that password?

Hello Phill!

I hope you are doing well.

If you are the owner of the PDF file, i.e., you created it. You can change the PDF password from Tools > Protect a PDF > Encrypt with Password or from Document Properties > Security.

However, if you have not created the PDF file, then you won't be able to make changes, and you need to contact the author/owner of the PDF. For more details, please see this article: https://adobe.ly/3DWtqMD

For the password of the Digital Signature, if you forgot it, you can add/create a new Signature and use it. For more information, see this article: https://adobe.ly/4cetIv0

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hi there

Hope you're doing well, and thanks so much for reaching out.

Could you please share a short video or screenshot of the issue? That would really help us understand what's going on more clearly.

Also, when you try recreating the signature as suggested earlier, do you see any error messages or unexpected behavior?

Looking forward to your response.
