pdf adobe not working

You cannot use this product at this time.   you must repair this problem by unistalling or reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support"

I keep getting this message suddenly when I try to open a PDF file.  what is happening and why?  how do I fix?

    Hi Michele,

    You'll need to provide some additional information:

    - Adobe product and version number ( Acrobat or Reader ?)

    - Operating system and version number

    - Screenshots of the problem

    - Computer hardware, such as CPU; GPU; amount of RAM; etc.

    Try repairing the software by navigating to the 'Help' menu and select 'Repair ......'
