PDF Conversions completely mangled

I am about to pull my hair out.  I created labels in Online labels.com.  They are .pdf files.  Before I was forced to download Windows 8, I had no trouble printing the .pdf files.  Once I downloaded Windows 8, I could no longer print .pdf files, so I got the conversion pack.  Now, my labels are printed in something that resembles Klingon.  This has literally shut down my home business.  I am using an HP laptop and an HP 1044 printer. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  And, I am sure this question has been answered elsewhere, but I am so incredibly frustrated right now, I can't see straight.

    Hi,


    Kindly let us know which printer are you trying to print the PDF from & using which application.

    Also please send us the screen shot of the original document & the resultant print out for better assistance.
