PDF converting

I make a PDF on my desk top computer, then go into AI to open it and it comes an error message that a certain font (arial of all things?) is not there? WTF? I believe the ADOBE whether Acrobat or AI gets the fonts from c:\windows/fonts. So what is up?

What software & version did you use to create the PDF?  Did you embed the fonts in the PDF?

What AI version are you using?

Hi robertl64718991,

Please provide the exact error message so that i can assist you more accurately. What exactly are you referring to by 'AI' and does the pdf opens up in Acrobat after you create it?
