photos that previously opened in adobe now wont.i get the error message file not supported or is damaged

Photos that ive previously saved and opened on numerous occasion will no longer open. i receive error message telling me that the file is not supported or has been damaged. Help.

    Hi cragside,

    Which Adobe application are you using, and what format are those photo files? I'd love to help, but need a bit more information to go on.

    I look forward to hearing back from you. When you reply, please let us know what Adobe application you're using (name and version), what types of files you're trying to open, and whether you're on Mac OS or Windows. It'll also be helpful to know whether any files open for you, or if the problem is specific to certain files.

    thank you for your reply Sara.  I'm using windows 8 and Adobe Reader X1. The images are uploaded photos from my digital camera so i think they must be JPG files. Pictures that i have downloaded from the internet such as Google images still open.

    Hi Cragside,

    If you're trying to open those files in Reader, they would need to be saved as PDF files, not JPEG. Have you tried opening the images in a different app?
