Poor experience with Acrobat.com reading on a Mac

Has anyone tried to read a PDF on Mac through Acrobat.com ? I'm just wondering since the user experience is very poor. Scrolling is not smooth. I cannot figure out how to get the PDF page to take the entire screen of my desktop and fonts are not very smooth. It stutters a lot when I scroll through pages. It looks as an image page rendering rather than text rendering.

It take a lot of the joy of reading a PDF on a laptop guys. I don't want to use harsh words but I certainly feel this is not Adobe quality work.  It needs a lot of work to improve the user experience. I will return to using Adobe Reader on my Android tablet. The rendering is much smoother.

Mac OSX Mavericks

Chrome 64 bit browser.

Cheers.

    Hi Rawi,

Are you viewing the PDF in Reader, or in a web browser (you mention Chrome in your post)? If Reader, do you have the most current version? You can check by choosing Help > Check for Updates. The current version for Mac OS is 11.0.07.

If you're viewing the PDFs in Chrome, this article may help: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142056?hl=en

I'm viewing the PDF in a web browser (Chrome). I didn't have the Reader installed. I installed the latest version 11.0.07 but it doesn't seem to have a Chrome browser plug-in. I'm using Chrome Version 38.0.2125.58 beta, which I think is 64 bit on Mac.

I disabled Chrome PDF viewer plugin as instructed through (Chrome://plugins). However, there is no Adobe Reader viewing plugin there. I see Adobe Flash player though.

Under Reader>Preferences>Internet, I have no browser plugin. I have only 3 options:

    1. Display in Read Mode by default

    2. Allow fast web view

    3. Allow speculative downloading in the background.

Trying to open a PDF in Chrome gets me to Save File dialog. I don't get enable Adobe Reader Plugin.

    Hi Rawi,

What happens when you open the same file on Safari, does it open fine.

Have you tried with any other browser apart from Chrome?

    Thanks,
