Predatory business practice

I just want your company to know that I see you. Your business practices of charging a cancellation fee (higher than the monthly charge) is predatory. I will wait until my annual membership is done to avoid the cancellation fee but after that I will never use a company like yours again. Just disgusting.

I don't work for Adobe or speak on their behalf, but this fee is charged only when you cancel a yearly subscription, which costs less per month than a monthly subscription. So the fee is to cover that difference, otherwise there would be no reason to pay for the monthly version. Everyone will just take the cheaper yearly subscription and cancel it when they don't need it any longer...

These kinds of fees are designed to lock customers in, even when they no longer need the service. While the legal justification is often that customers agreed to terms, it doesn't make the policy ANY less exploitative, especially when the fees ARE disproportionate to the service provided. I DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE ENOUGH TO PAY $19.99 PER MONTH. Companies that genuinely prioritize their customers can balance profitability with fair practices. ADOBE chooses profit over customer satisfaction and that is what gives them a reputation as "a trash company." It’s frustrating to see large, profitable organizations use these tactics, especially when there are plenty of successful companies that manage to treat their customers well without relying on sneaky fees or predatory terms.
