Problems with Windows 8.1 and Acrobat Reader XI

I have two problems which are likely related.  First I can no longer save .PDF files that already include saved comments, and secondaly, I can no longer delete .PDF files.  Any suggestions?

    Are you attempting to save your PDF files to files.acrobat.com or on your computer?

    Are the files that you are attempting to delete stored on files.acrobat.com or on your computer?

    The files I am attempting to save or delete are on my computer.
