Hello I have a similar problem. I have a pdf that I need to remove some text from. I don't see anything that says OCR - when I tried to convert it to word the result was a lot of missing information and generally disorganized. Can you suggest how I can edit some text on this document? I am running Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.

    Hi Sandrat,

In Adobe Acrobat XI, you get "Text Recognition" option.

Open the PDF in Acrobat XI and go to View > Tools > Text recognition.

For more help, refer this link How to run OCR with Adobe XI Pro (Scan and Optimize).

To edit the text in PDF, go to Tools pane at right and select Content Editing from the list of options.

Take help of the steps mentioned here in this link https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-edit-text-in-a-pdf-file-infographic.

    Hope the information helps.
