Hi All,

Lately we have been encountering an issue with Adobe Reader where when somebody tries to print a document the system goes to not responding until the print page comes up and again when the print command is sent.

Is anybody else encountering this issue and if so is there a fix to this?

This issue is there on all machine type we have from Core 2 Duo's with 4 GB Ram to Core i7 with 16 GB Ram.

Hi,

Try following steps:

1. If your documents are stored on shared drive, try to copy them locally and then try to print.

2. If that is a network printer try update printer drivers. Also try updating Reader. If problem persist, mention your Reader version installed.

3. Check your network speed if this is network printer.

4. Try disabling security software on test machine and test again.

5. Try to connect the printer locally with the test machine and test it again.

Hi Ajlan Huda,

The mentioned tests have already been tried and the issue still persist. Our adobe version is 11.0.9 which I believe is the latest version of adobe reader.

Further to this we have tested alternative PDF Readers and the issue does not show up when using  other software. Having mentioned this our users are used to Adobe PDF Reader and we would not like to confuse them by changing the software.

Do Adobe have any plan of fixing this issue, because I have found forums with people mentioning the same problem exactly and no solution has been found yet.
