reinsalled adobe X pro, but cannot fix Error 6

Had to reinstall adobe X Pro; was successful, but keep getting "Error 6" when trying to read documents. How to fix this please???

What is your operating system?  What is your Acrobat X version?

Hi Pat, I am using Win 7, Acrobat Adobe X Pro version 2.4. xxxx

Still getting Error 6..

I don't know what you mean by "version 2.4. xxxx".  The latest Acrobat X version is 10.1.12; if you don't have that version, update to that version and try again.
