RESTORE

Everytime my laptop crashes, when I open Adobe to go back to the last file I was working on, it says click yes to save unsaved changes or else changes will be lost, and even tho I click yes, it still does not save. Why is this happening? And why cant I find the most recent version even though it says its auto saves every 5 mins?!
