Retrieving current session status

My Adobe Reader is stuck "retrieving current session status." I'm sure this is because I tried to convert a document that was skewed and faded and it couldn't convert it, but I can't make it stop trying! I've force quit the application a few times, but it still seems to be trying to retrieve the previous session.

    Hi lparker732,

Please try this: Close Reader, and then go to https://cloud.acrobat.com. Sign out of your account there, and then start up Reader again. That should end the stuck conversion process.

If it doesn't, please let us know.

    Best,

    Sara

I just tried to do this.  It does not work.   The program has been frozen for several days.
