Scanning using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

I use Acrobat Pro DC with an iMaxc.  Just installed Catalina, 10.15.7.  When I try to scan copies using a sheet feeder the program stops after 3 pages and says scanning cancelled.  What?????

I am using a Brother MFC 99070 CDW.  I tried to check for updates in Acrobat using the "help" button but the mesage says I am up to date.  It worked fine wth operating system Mojave.
