Script for timer control of Show/Hide Field

I aim to do as the Subject Line states.  Sample scenario, upon Page Open:

After n seconds, Show Field "Title ABC".

After x seconds, Hide Field "Title ABC".

I am aware of such as app.setInterval, and app.setTimeOut, but lack knowledge of just how to connect them to actiong upon the field.
