Since I bought Adobe Export PDF, all my Word.docx Documents get turned into Pdf Docs. How can I deactivate the supposed "turn Word docs automatically into Pdfs"?

Since I bought Adobe Export PDF, all my Word.docx Documents get turned into Pdf Docs. How can I deactivate the supposed "turn Word docs automatically into Pdfs"?

Need urgent help, as I have to toil with WORD Docs, i.e., write, eliminate, correct, copy, paste etc. etc. which is NOT any more posible once the doc is turned into a PDF doc.

Hi ursulad8079040,

Files won't automatically get exported unless you export them.

Please check if all the icons (files & folders) have been converted to PDF & nothing happens when you double click on the file?

If yes, please refer to this KB doc. Application, file icons change to Acrobat/Reader icon‌.

Else, please elaborate your issue.

thank you for your prompt reply.

The link you provided only spoke of Windows7.

My PC runs on Windows 8.1.

I did NOT click onto any option to generate the Adobe docs., they were automatically generated, which was more annoying.

Anyhow did I solve the problema quite easily: This is what I did and I'll write it down so as to be able to help others with the same problema..

HOW TO TURN AUTOMATICALLY GENERATED ADOBE DOCS AGAIN INTO WORD DOCX

1- Right-click onto an automatically Adobe-generated Word Doc.docx

2- Click onto PROPERTIES-

3- There you read:  FILE TYP: Microsoft Word Document (.docx)

     IT OPENS WITH  [  A    ] (It is here where you see the Acrobat icon)  

4-  Click onto the   CHANGE  option,

5- Click onto the  MICROSOFT WORD icon

--> and all your documents become again MS Word Docx

6- Click onto  APPLY

7- Click onto ACCEPT

and DEAL DONE!
