Question

SO FRUSTRATED! link vs attachment view

Hi,

As I try to market my business (via Mailchimp that doesn't allow attachments) I'm noticing when I add a link to a document, the receiver gets the whole ADOBE view instead of just seeing the document. I have the comments turned off, but the receiver still has the option to comment. Any thoughts or suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Thank you,

Catherine

Hi catherine_3040,

Thank you for reaching out.

When you send a link to a document created using the Adobe application, it will open on the platform. However, if you have turned off the comments, users should be unable to add comments to the same document. The recipients can save a copy of the document and then add comments to it.

Could you please share a screenshot of how the document opens from the email? Also, try adding the link again with the comments option turned off and sending it to your alternate email to check. If you still get the same results, share the video of your steps. We will get it checked.

Feel free to let us know if you need help or have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

This is what is coming up now. At least there's no comment section. But I just want it to look like a marketing flyer ...like an ad, bascially.
I transferred the docs I want to send to my Google drive and it seems like it's working better there. Thanks for your response.
