When I try to open Adobe, I receive the following:
"There was an error opening this document. Access denied".
What am I supposed to do?

As the error message mentioned above, "There was an error opening the document, Access denied". Is that message appears on web or when trying to open the pdf on Adobe Reader DC?
The old version of Reader doesn't support the Export and Create pdf functionality.
In order to continue to access these services through Reader, follow the instructions outlined here to get the latest version, Adobe Reader DC.
If you receive this error while opening the pdf doc then you may also check with the different pdf document and see. If this happens while opening the Adobe Reader then you can either update the application or uninstall using cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs and reinstall it Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions .
