Ticket numbering in Acrobat?

I have one .pdf page with the ticket design,
now I need to output 100 tickets with sequential numbers and keep the file size manageable.

Just duplicating the page will cause the file size to increase each time I add a new page.

Is there a way to set the graphic as a background and just have the numbers change on each page?

Any suggestions?
