Tooltip won't show

Hi, I'm having trouble with tooltip. I add it to Dropdown Properties / Tooltip, then hit save, but when I preview it that tooltip does not show. It says 'A picture containing text, sign / Description automatically generated'. Any tell me what I'm doing wrong please? Thanks

What do you mean by "preview it", exactly?

When I hover over the field, it should tell me tip for what should be inputted into that field. That is what seems to be missing. I though if I enterd a description into Tooltip field it would add it, but no luck.
