Trouble converting PDF to excel

Hi there,

I'm having trouble converting a PDF to excel as it gives me an error saying that the file could not be converted.  Can someone explain why this is please? Could it be the PDF has been protected? If so, am I still able to unlock this and convert PDF to excel?

    Are you using Adobe Acrobat Reader? If so, what exact version? What steps are you taking to convert the pdf?
