Unable to convert excel to pdf using Adobe Reader X.

I have Adobe Reader X which I use to convert Excel to PDF. It has suddenly stopped working. When I call up the Excel doc and press create, I get an error message 'An error occurred while trying to Adobe Create PDF online. Can anyone help?
