Unable to download shared pdf

After sharing a PDF via link from my documentcloud and commenting on it with other people I was unable to download it by clicking on the downside arrow button on the top-right corner.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Upload any pdf
  • Share and generate a link
  • Open the link and click on the said download button
  • Nothing happens but the arrow gets replaced by an endless loading icon

 

I tested this on Firefox + Chromium on Linux and on Firefox + Chrome on Windows.

 

The Document I had trouble with in the beginning had over 350 comments and out of desperation I tried unsharing it and downloading it afterwards. Apparently you cannot reshare an unshared file so now I am the only one having access to the said comments and I cannot get a local copy of the pdf. I tried logging in to the Desktop Acrobat Reader but it was "unable to find" the unshared file and I should try the Internet version. The Android App also didn't succeed to open the unshared pdf and suggested using the Desktop or Internet version.

 

Does anyone know how I can rescue my commented file e.g. by getting a local copy or resharing it with the comments?

Also, try once using the new incognito window on Chrome.
