Unable to verify an email address associate with my Adobe ID

There's an old email address associated with my ID, how can I change that address.? Because it's with a former employer I'm unable to access that email to verify a trial download.

    From http://www.adobe.com/ → My account → sign in with your old email address → click Edit under Account → change the email address in the Adobe ID.
