using Adobe convert document to word to edit

I am new to window 8 and dont know who to convert a scanned document or a PDF to be able to edit?

You can use the ExportPDF online service or Adobe Acrobat to convert a PDF document to Word format. If you choose to use ExportPDF, please see Getting Started with ExportPDF | Adobe Community. If you opt for Acrobat, you choose File > Save as Other > Microsoft Word > Word Document.
