When I convert my pdf to a word document, only symbols appear on the new word document.  How do I fix?

    Please let me know the steps followed to Export the PDF?

    Are you experiencing this issue with all the PDF files?

    Try to use the Export service online https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf

    I have several downloaded pdfs that I'd like to be Word docs.  I converted the first one perfectly using the acrobat online export, but the rest of the pdfs won't work at all - just lots of symbols instead of words.

    All of the pdfs are from the same source, and downloaded at the same time.

    Hi kristen,

    I would recommend you try converting the file using Acrobat DC and check if you face the same issue.
