when I got to export PDF it goes to a list of my previously converted file not to where I choose the file I want to convert

How you have been trying to Export the pdf file? Is it through the Adobe Reader DC desktop application or online via- https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf

You may follow the exact same steps suggested in-Using Adobe Export PDF
