The frustration with this software confirms my hate for security.

When a person emails me a PDF the software asks me for a password and no matter what I do it always rejects the access.  What can I be doing wrong.....

Hi Colind,

As /TestScreenName asked, is it a pdf password pop up or Adobe Reader DC is asking for Sign In password?

What you have explained is only possible when the end user is sending a password protected document to you. Because Adobe Reader doesn't ask for the password to view a pdf.

For testing, you may login on web Adobe Document Cloud  and see if your Adobe password if working or not? Also, to understand the issue clearly you may share the screenshot of the password popup screen.

Is it a request for the password of the file, or your system password, or your Adobe ID password? If you're not sure, please tell us the exact words, all of them, around the prompt.

What is the software you are using, exactly, including version number? If you're not sure let us know if you're Mac or Windows.
