Question

Whenever I try to find a word in the PDF document I'm told it's not in the document, when I know that it is. I didn't have this problem with the earlier version. I'm on a PC using Windows Enterprise 7.

Whenever I try to find a word in the PDF document, I'm told there isn't such a word in the document, when I know there is.  I didn't have this problem with the earlier version.  How do I cancel the DC version and go back to the earlier version?

When I have the similar problem I simply use this tool http://www.coolutils.com/TotalPDFConverter and then continue working with DOC files.

Thank you lily_smith for your advice.  I guess the issue is that to adopt your suggestion costs, while under the previous Adobe Reader version I was able to find words in PDFs without the requirement to convert to Word, which is not really a satisfactory solution when all I'm trying to do is to locate some text in a voluminous document.  Unless the same functionality is available in DC, I'd rather go back to the previous version, which apparently is no longer available to download.
